Free books for classrooms

How it works

• Tell us about your classroom. Age group, how many children, and what would be most useful.
• We pick by need. We read the requests and start with the classrooms where a set of books would make the most difference. When two are close, we draw at random.
• We email you before we ship. We'll confirm the address and how many copies before anything goes out.
• The books are yours. They're free, and you keep them. We don't ask for a review or a mention.

Who can ask

Preschool, pre-K and early-elementary teachers; school and public librarians; school counselors; and people running reading or play programs for young children. If you work with little hands and a box of crayons would help, you count. We ship within the United States.

How we fund it

Donated books are paid for out of a share of the profit our books make. We haven't sold a book yet, so any percentage we printed today would be a guess. Once there's real sales history, we'll publish the figure here.
